PARTNERSHIP

WHO WE WORK WITH
OUR PARTNERS

We work with a number of partners to deliver our missions

International engagement is at the core of the society’s strategy. The members and Chinese soil scientists benefit from our partnership with other global soil organizations across the world. Currently, the society is a member of the International Union of Soil Sciences and the East and Southeast Asia Federation of Soil Science Societies.

International Union Of Soil Sciences

The International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) is the global union of soil scientists. The objectives of the IUSS are to foster all branches of the soil sciences and their applications, and to give support to soil scientists in the pursuit of their activities. In addition, the IUSS aims to put soils and soil sciences on the global agenda!

Relationship with IUSS
Since 1935, SSSC has been playing an active role in the World Congress of Soil Science, an international conference held every four years under the guidance of IUSS. In 1979, SSSC became a corporate member of IUSS. The WCSS 2026 will be organized by Soil Science Society of China (SSSC) from 12 to 17 July 2026 in Nanjing, China under the theme ‘Soil and the Shared Future for Mankind’.

4 Chinese scientists of our Society are the recipients of IUSS honors:

Prof. Zhu Yongguan – IUSS Liebig Award 2022
Dr. Zhang Taolin – IUSS Distinguished Service Medal 2021
Ma Yuxin – Dan Yaalon Medal 2022
Chen Songchao - Dan Yaalon Medal 2022

10 Chinese scientists of our Society take seats in IUSS from 2022 – 2026
