2024 Conference of SSSC Specialty Committee on Soil-plant Nutrition & Symposium on Rhizobiont and Green Agricultural Development Held in Hohhot

From July 21 to 24, 2024, the 2024 Conference of SSSC Specialty Committee on Soil-plant Nutrition & Symposium on Rhizobiont and Green Agricultural Development were jointly organized by the College of Grassland, Resources and Environment of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, and the Soil and Fertilizer Society of Inner Mongolia in Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Jianbo Shen at China Agricultural University. Six experts from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, the Institute of Botany, CAS and other agricultural universities were invited to deliver keynote reports, and Prof. Haigang Li from Inner Mongolia Agricultural University introduced the research progress of agricultural resources and environment in Inner Mongolia. Two plenary sessions were organized to discuss research in the areas of plant physiology and rhizosphere nutrition, and nutrient management and improvement of cultivated land quality. Another session was set up for graduate students to showcase their research achievements.

This conference demonstrates the most research in plant nutrition and rhizobiont, and promotes exchanges and cooperation among scholars, thus effectively advancing the theory and practice innovation in China’s green agricultural development.
