Awarding Ceremony of CAS Distinguished Scientist Certificate for Prof. Dr. Wulf Amelung Hosted at ISSCAS

On March 27, 2024, the ISSCAS hosted an awarding ceremony to present the certificate of CAS Distinguished Scientist to Prof. Dr. Wulf Amelung, in addition to an academic seminar. Prof. Fang Wang, Chair of the SSSC International Collaboration Working Committee and a research scientist at ISSCAS, presided over the ceremony, and Prof. Renfang Shen, SSSC Honorary President and ISSCAS Director, awarded the certificate to Prof. Dr. Wulf Amelung. Prof. Dr. Wulf Amelung expressed his gratitude and presented his report “Ways out of the global soil crisis” during the seminar.

About CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI)

The CAS PIFI, is a funding program designed to establish scientific cooperation and promote global research communication. The CAS President’s International Fellowship for Distinguished Scientists supports leading international scientists to conduct a lecture tour in at least two CAS branches (research institutes or universities) over 1-2 weeks, or invite scientists from CAS to conduct research for 1-3 months at the institution where applicant works for.
