Symposium on Soil Physics and Healthy Cultivated Land Nurture Held in Hangzhou

From 4 to 6 August 2023, the symposium on soil physics and healthy cultivated land nurture was held by the Soil Physics Specialty Committee of SSSC and organized by the College of Environmental & Resource Sciences of Zhejiang University (CERSZJU) and the Society of Soil and Fertilizer, Zhejiang Province (ZSSF), and attracted a crowd of over 330 extinguished experts and young scholars.

 

Prof. Dingjiang Chen, Vice Director of the Soil Physics Specialty Committee, chaired the opening ceremony, and Prof. Jiabao Zhang, SSSC President, was invited to make plenary report concerning academic progress and issues of general interest in soil physics. Five sessions were organized to discuss different topics including “soil hydrological processes and nutrient loss, soil solute transfer and transformation and environmental effects, cultivated land protection and green agriculture, physics, chemistry and biology interactions and soil health and soil improvement and fertility increase, and two sessions were set specially for young scholars and graduates. This symposium has a total of 74 academic reports by experts and scholars, 46 reports by graduates and 36 posters.
