Symposium on Comprehensive Use of Saline-affected Soils Held Online

 

From 25 to 26 November 2022, the Symposium on the Comprehensive Use of Saline-affected Soils was hosted by the Soil-affected Soils Specialty Committee, Soil Science Society of China (SSSC) and organized by the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. This symposium was presided over by Qu Yizhong, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University of Science & Technology and attracted a group of over 300 experts, scholars, graduates and companies’ representatives, with more than 9,500 live viewers.

 

This symposium arranged 6 invited papers, 19 plenary papers and 11 graduate papers to discuss issues such as formation and control of saline-affected soils, mechanisms of salinity adaptation and tolerance in plants, comprehensive use of saline-affected and global change. It provided a platform for experts and scholars in this field and promoted the use of saline soils, laying good foundation for the increase of saline soils productivity.
