2025 Conference of SSSC Working Committee on Soil Science Popularization Held in Nanning

From April 11 to 13, 2025, the annual Conference of SSSC Working Committee on Soil Science Popularization was held in Nanning. This conference attracted over 120 representatives and 9,058 online participants.

At the opening ceremony, welcome speeches were delivered by Prof. Guofu Deng, Director General of the Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Haiou Li, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Association for Science and Technology. Subsequently, Prof. Nengchang Chen, Chair of SSSC Working Committee on Soil Science Popularization, introduced the “Nanning Initiative on Soil Health Popularization” which appeals to the public to protect the soils.

During the conference, 25 distinguished experts delivered presentation on topics including low-carbon agriculture, soil health promotion and farmland management. Following the conference, attendees toured the technology achievement exhibition hall, and new variety and technology demonstration area of the Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
